Bhagwant Global University (BGU) Kotdwar is established and incorporated by Government of Uttarakhand (Act No. 39 of 2016) Vide Notification No. 344/ XXXVI (3)/2016/71(1)/2016) of Uttarakhand Shashan (Vidhayee & Sansdiya Karya Vibhag) and under Section 2(f) of the University Grant Commission (UGC) Act, 1956 with powers to confer degrees u/s 22 (1).
University is located in Kotdwar, a city under Municipal Corporation of Pauri Garhwal, It is just 101 km from Pauri Town, Located in the vicinity of well- known and holy Siddhbali Temple which is situated 2 km (1.2 mi) from Kotdwar city. Siddhbali Temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and is visited by Thousands of believers all around the year.
