STUDENT SERVICES
Every effort has been made by the University to provide the best facilities for students who dwell in Campus. Every student has access to a wide range of activities, facilities and support.
Library
The Library, having a collection of more than thirty thousand volumes of books on Applied Sciences, Natural Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Paramedical Sciences, Nursing, Business Management, Engineering and Technology, Social Sciences and Humanities. The Library has now been catering to need of about 1200 students, faculty members, administrative and non teaching staff of the university. The identity of all books and the library users are fully bar-coded and all Library house-keeping operations like, acquisition, cataloguing, circulation and periodicals services have been automated with the help of software package. The library is also equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of Wi-Fi and project reports. All students, faculty members’ research scholars and employees of the university are entitled to make use of the library facilities on taking library membership. The University also provides Book Bank Facility to the students.
Laboratories & Workshops
The University has spacious modern Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Nursing, Paramedical, Engineering, Physics & Chemistry labs. The laboratories have been well equipped with latest devices, instruments & tools.
The workshop has Machine shop, Welding shop, fitting shop and Sheet Metal shop. The University has a big hall for Machine & Engineering Drawing.
Auditorium
The Auditorium has been the venue for numerous seminars and activities in the year. With a sufficient capacity for accommodating good strength, centrally air-conditioned and modern facilities like- computer, projectors etc. It is an ideal for academic, administrative and general discussions.
Gym
Sophisticated machines for physical exercise under the guidance of an experienced coach is available. Gym is fully equipped with latest & advanced equipments. A Spacious and State of the art swimming pool is proposed in the Campus for the benefit of the students. Separate timings are maintained for boys and girls.
Hostel Facilities
‘A home away from home’ The university has fully furnished separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. These are supported by an excellent mess, common room, STD-PCO, internet access, canteen, provision store, medical assistance, and to and fro transport facility to Railway Station/Bus Station during official break. Both the hostels are Air Cooled, the boys hostel has double/triple seated rooms. There is large air cooled girls hostel in the campus having double/triple seated rooms. The unique feature of our girls hostel is availability of pantry with microwave, refrigerator and dry kitchen facility.. Our specially designed AC hostel for foreign student fulfils the requirement of continental food and comfortable stay.
Transport Facilities
The university has its own fleet of Buses, Vans and Cars for conveyance of staff and students from all areas and colonies of the city. In addition, city bus facility is also available. The university provides transport to students for Bus Stand and Railway Station during vacations.
Scholarship Schemes
Scholarship Schemes of Central and State Governments for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD /J&K/ North-east Students are applicable as per the criteria fixed by the respective government. All scholarship details available on University Website
Lecture Hall
Classrooms learning is primarily meant for theoretical and conceptual inputs with real life case studies, group learning and live projects. The lecture halls are well-equipped with all teaching aids like- LCD, OHP, PA Systems besides white/green board etc to enhance the learning process in most effective manner. The university has smart classrooms for every departments.
Canteen Facilities
“The enthusiasm is a source of energy” and is provided to the students from a well-designed and facilitated cafeteria, which is situated in the campus. The Students relax and re-energize themselves and experience and seasons of the year in its serene atmosphere.
